Students and parents choosing a school

All 5,756 schools of Austria on one interactive map — search, filter across twelve school types, compare. Built on official open data from Statistik Austria (school year 2023/24), enriched with OpenStreetMap; no sign-up, no tracking. It began in 2024 as a student project at HTL Perg and became a finished tool in 2026, when Statistik Austria opened the school location data.

Small Austrian businesses

Invoicing for small Austrian businesses, as simple as files: a JSON file is the invoice, one command renders the PDF and keeps a tamper-evident register — every entry chained to the previous one by SHA-256. The mandatory fields of § 11 UStG are enforced, not recommended. No server, no database, no account, no subscription. Open source under MIT.

14 Schulmittag [live] 2026

Municipalities, schools, and after-school care

School lunch in Austria still runs on paper in many places — parents fill in forms, the office copies them into spreadsheets, the municipality bills by hand. Schulmittag replaces that chain. I am CTO; each institution gets its own isolated instance with its own database, rolled out in minutes on fleetdeck, our own PaaS. Under contract: Stadtgemeinde Gallneukirchen, Petrinum Linz, Sportmittelschule Tulln — more in preparation.

A growing library that explains the Bible not from personal belief but from grounded exegesis — 346 verified scripture passages, every argument laid open, no pious platitudes. I am a co-author of the book that collects all of it: “Christlich denken — Eine Bibliothek von Denkwegen”, free as PDF and EPUB, no registration, no tracking, regenerated with every new publication.

Digital solutions for municipalities, schools, organisations, and businesses — platforms, e-commerce, AI systems, operation. Two founders, no middle layer. What we build, on what terms, and what it costs is documented completely at Stoicera; I point there instead of duplicating it.

Free & reduced

Churches, parishes & NGOs — pro bono

The first consultation is always free. Selected non-profits — associations, parishes, churches, NGOs — get a build contingent of 10 working hours per year as a gift, freely usable: a simple website, small changes over the year, a short research task. Beyond that, a reduced rate. Ongoing operation is not free: from €40 net per month, because someone has to stay responsible. My own church work — like for the Diocese of Linz — I do without charge.

From first call to running software — four steps, no surprises.

  1. 01 Intro call

    30 minutes, free. You describe the problem; I tell you honestly whether and how I would solve it. Book directly or write an email.

  2. 02 Fixed offer

    Within a week you get a written offer: scope, timeline, fixed price. No hidden costs, no hourly meters running.

  3. 03 Build

    Short iterations, working software early. You see progress continuously and talk directly to the person building it.

  4. 04 Operate

    We run what we build — hosting, maintenance, updates. Who builds, answers. Also years later.

The person behind it.

I’m Raphael — a software developer and entrepreneur from Upper Austria. I started writing code at thirteen because I wanted to build things that didn’t exist yet. That instinct hasn’t changed; only the scale has.

With Sebastian Kern I run Stoicera Group — software for municipalities, schools, and businesses, at fair prices, with a pro-bono program for churches and NGOs. We work by one rule: who builds, answers. There is no layer between you and the person who wrote the code.

Beyond client work I serve part-time as Service Owner for the intranet and the new newsroom of WU Vienna, publish Austrian Business Magazine, run our school meal platform Schulmittag, teach IT in adult education at BBRZ Wien, and put my research on AI and cognitive systems on GitHub, in the open.

My faith shapes how I work — quietly, not as a brand. Where it becomes public, it becomes rigorous: at christlichdenken.at we explain the Bible from grounded exegesis, not personal opinion — arguments laid open, checked against the text. I co-authored the free book that collects that work, “Christlich denken — Eine Bibliothek von Denkwegen”.
