Listening version & score
A digital listening version makes the work’s development accessible. The engraved score is available as a PDF.
Composition: Raphael René Lugmayr. Digitally rendered with Alexander Holm’s Salamander Grand Piano V3 (CC BY 3.0). Not a live recording.
How unrest becomes form
The piece begins with fragments of a melody not yet fully formed. The complete theme first appears in bar 13. A fugue distributes it across voices while chaos resists. A second, broader melody makes order audible as beauty.
After the Silentium, the music rebuilds from a single low C-sharp. The ending chooses a perfect fifth rather than major or minor. The journey matters as much as the destination: theme and countervoices must earn their clarity.
„Omnia locum suum inveniunt.“
Everything finds its place.
Ordo ex Chaos is part of my contemporary classical work, combining Baroque movement, Romantic harmony and clear melodic lines. The piano carries both the driving energy and the quiet, restrained passages.
